Jan, If it is regarding a letter I have just recieved as well, from a company saying I have liabled them for something I posted on here can you please pass on to the powers that be a request for them to tell me how the company got my address as I was under the impression this website kept private information private. If someone requested our address'we should have at least been notified. If not where have they got my address from including my user name on here, which is the only website I have used it on.

The letter was from a firm of lawyers and addressed to
*MY ACTUAL NAME* AKA PANDY
It goes onto to state and quote some post I made regarding letters people were recieving form a cold calling company and saying they felt it was liabelous, defamitory and loads of other stuff and I am goiung to be sued!!! Good luck with them trying to get money out of me. I am more concerned at how them got my address and user name together.

Perhaps they keep.records of the people they send letters to. It probably wouldn't be too hard to then check the register to get the full details

But how would they know that the register is Pandy, I am not Pandy on it.
All my profile says is I am from Bristol there is nothing to say where and I am not the only from from Bristol on the register. My profile just says I am a 40 something so they couldn't tie up DOB.

I am still not sure I understand how they got my address to tie me to here.
If you recieve a letter from them Jan how will they have got your address?
It seems to be the people that were in a thread that got rather heated last April. I actually only made 1 post in the thread, the second post which I told the OP I had received the same letter and binned it. which they have quoted word for word.
You,Skippy, BOL,Andy and a few others are pobably going to get the same letters as you all posted in the same thread.
