On the subject of BR i have a "One Bill" account for all utility bills etc, I pay them one set amount each month and everything is in one DD rather than various ones coming out on different dates. There is a monthly fee of about £11 (I think) but has been a godsend in knowing that it all comes out on the same day.

This is not a credit account and I have not loaned any money from them, does this account have to go on the SOA and also would the OR have any interest in closing this account??

thanks in advance x

Yes - you must disclose all accounts you hold on your statement of affairs to support your bankruptcy application.

I've never heard of this - is it a type of bank account? All bank accounts have to be declared on your SOA and then it's down to the bank rather than the OR whether they are closed.

Its not really a bank account as such - you can google them its www.moneyway.co.uk their branches are mainly in the West Mids area, but started this in November when i opened the cashminder account so one DD would sort all bills x

Thanks for your advice Mel x

If not, it's the same sort of thing.

I wouldn't do anything like that because I object to paying someone to pay my bills for me. £11 a month doesn't sound a great deal, but it does add up over the year.

I keep a close eye on my account and know exactly when all my direct debits are due to go out.

It obviously works for you, so why not.

At least, as you say, once it's gone out, that's it, and any money left in there is yours.

Just had a look. good idea in principal but i would rather pay my own bills. Its £4.25 a week or £15 a month, which i would rather keep myself. Plus they credit score you so i would have no hope anyway.
