Can you get SKY TV if you are going through an IVA/DMP? Thinking of making the switch from VM to SKY. This all depends on the credit check they make!
If Football was meant to have been played in the air then God would have put Grass in the Sky

Hi
I think that Sky is more relaxed on this now. As long as they can find you on the electrol roll you should be fine

A basic Sky or cable package is generally accepted by creditors these days.

I don't have an allowance for sky :-(

I have managed to save some cash and use sky sports on my mobile £6 a month isn't too bad, tbh freeview is more than enough at the moment, if i want to see a footie game, then off to the pub cheap pint and the game, its become a nice evening out the house every so ofter, few mates and a beer its a cheap night.

Have you asked for an allowance for a basic package?

When i first started out, i was told it was a luxury i couldn't have, saying that i should get a payrise this june, might ask if i can have an allowance for sky rather than pay it straight into my iva, this year ive had no increase in any bills, even my council tax has gone down, due to me forgetting i didn't have to pay it in jan/feb so i paid a chunk off this years already.

I cancelled Sky when I was starting the IVA procedure and then went back to them last year, (two years after the IVA had started), and had no problem with them. I pay £27 a month for the basic package and Sky Sports 1, but I've never added it to my I&E.

Sky is basically our social life as we don't go out much at all.

I'd be lost without it.

We have sky too & on our I&E review it was allowed to go upto 23 from 21, which is the basic Package.

We didnt have sky on taking our IVA but it was included anyway.

Its also a god send in the winter months for the boys as they have out grown cbeebies!
Final IVA payment made in April 2013, never ever thought we could do it or get through it but we did! X

I must be the odd one out here as I have just cancelled my Sky HD subscription which I feel is a waste of £31 per month - I rarely watch it, and the things I am really interested in watching carry a far higher premium or are 'pay per view',and I find that I am happier watching ad free Auntie Beeb after all!

I'd be lost without it. As I say, we don't go out much so I rely on the TV and the internet.
