I wouldn't be lost without it, I don't personally watch it too much but hubby likes it, daughter just got BT Vision and the package and it looks ok from what I saw of it today.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

BT keep trying to get us to have Vision, but we've just upgraded to a Sky+HD box so we're tied in for a further 12 months.

We'd be totally lost without Sky...well Sky Sports especially. It does get my beef up when you pay your monthly subscription and then have to pay extra for certain events!

I pay extra for ESPN, but nothing else. Don't even do Box Office - I wait until the films come on normal Sky.

We don't have movies, doesn't interest us. I object to having to pay a TV licence too as could easily live without BBC channels!

Do like films sometimes, and don't mind BBC as we watch the soaps and like a lot of the documentaries on there.

We do pay extra (daughter bungs as well!) so that we can have extra channels.

I don't watch that much on the sports channels, but hubby likes them. I like my documentaries.

I Just have the basic package, I don't miss the movie channels anyway cause when you look they are all repeats.

As for the BBC I have to agree, waste of money they should encrypt it and you only pay a TV license if you want to view it. See how many opt out then!

we have the basic package and that does us fine.
would like the sorts channels but just cant justify the xtra when we are being carefull with everything else.
interesting that some people have got sky after entering a iva,i wonder if its the same with virgin.
we already had accounts with both before we entered iva so we wont have to try,but as you always pay a month upfront for both i cant see there being a problem anyway should you not pay one month as they can just stop the services untill its paid.
so why would they need to credit check?
cc received 6th January 2014 now upwards and onwards

I was already with sky tv and virgin for intenet before I took out my IVA, along with vodafone mobile.

I have been able to keep all 3 going. They do not credit check existing customers I don't think but I know if I try to change mobile companies I will get declined.

Not sure about taking out a new subscription to sky or virgin though. they may credit check.

We like our cricket, and as long as daughter is helping fund the package, I'll pay for it.

Our contribution comes from the Sky package we are allowed, plus our social allowance.

not having a pop at you jan just that sky sports was one of the things we could cut back on when we started out on iva trail.
i miss the footy and cricket and if they came to me with an offer i might take it up.
as you say you make savings here and there so why not have them if you can sort it out

I know you weren't having a go.

We like our cricket though, and as hubby is home during the day and enjoys watching the sports and daughter is willing to help fund the TV, then that's fine with me.

A new subs with virgin cost me £150 deposit for the year and that was just boardband, due to moving house i had no phone lines or anything so needed to get online, i got the money back a year later so all good, unsure about the tv as i haven't took them up on it, very tempted just lately as b***** all on freeview at the moment!!
