Hi all,

Did anyone include sky tv in income and expenditure. I did not include this as I thought they would look at it as a luxury. Not really a luxury when you can not afford to go out.

Yes hillsy they should allow you a basic package, we had phone tv and broadband all together as a package.

we have sky in ours.. already included in our I & E.. hubby has sports package also.. which we have to budget for.. but as we never go anywhere we manage.. He knows though as soon as things get so desperate its the first thing that will go.. He has been doing odds and sods overtime so its his treat (for now!!)..

We've decided that Sky Sports will be the last thing to go if times get hard. Neither of us go out very often, but we both like watching football. I'll get rid of rubbish Setanta before Sky goes!

Our sky is included - we have the sports package but not the movies. We couldn't cope without the sports.

Under CCCS guidelines, you are allowed a basic £21 per month Sky package.

We too have Sky (sports and movies)..the cats would have to go before the football does!!!! (joke by the way.....dh would have to go first...LOL!).

We were surprised when sky was included, but it would be a long five years playing charades and cats cradle [;)]

I'd be lost without Sky. We've had it since it's inception, and that's mostly our entertainment.

We used to have Sky but it was just endless repeats. We did not have any Sports channels tho as none of us is interested in sport

Now I have bought 3 Freeview boxes for £8.99 each of a website my daughter found and they are great, there are some good films on Film 4, etc and of course, CIS and NCIS on FiveUS. I don't miss Sky at all and we dont have anything to pay[:D]

I agree that there are loads of repeats, but I think there are enough channels now with some interesting factual programmes on to make up for it.

We do have the Sports Channels as we love cricket.

If I could just have the sports channels I'd happily get rid of Sky. We've got a Freeview box as well so that we could get Setanta (and take it away when we go to Dave's mums) but I think most of what's on Freeview is rubbish as well. All I really watch now is sport and the Bill.

Don't watch The Bill, but we love Corrie, Eastenders and Emmerdale.

Basic here..we have a small 'going out' pot of £40 a month and as we have two under two (and therefore sero social life, lol!) we will use that to have the Sky+ & movies

I avoid all soaps! I used to watch Casualty but got bored with it so there's not a lot else on. I watch Midsomer Murders, Silent Witness and Waking the Dead but the only thing I watch all the time is the Bill - Alex Walkinshaw, mmmmmm!
