Well, we were meant to finish our IVA in July, but due to a mistake we now have one more payment to make on 16th August and then we are finally done.

Thank Goodness. I can't wait!
Its now time to start living and to make some some wonderful memories!

All the best and enjoy. It is one of the best feelings in the world and well worth the 5 year wait.

Well done.

I have a real problem with my IVA I have paid all 60 months I called my Company last month to confirm that the IVA was coming to an end and they told me to cancel my standing order as the IVA is complete and now I have received a letter stating that it is being extended for a further 6 months to allow further time for the final administartion of my IVA to be completed, can they do this? I have never missed a payment or had a late payment, so there is no shortfall, also my other problem is that I cant afford to pay it for another 6 months as I am due to give birth in 2 weeks time, I am now on maternity pay and have no more disposable income, I am now worried sick that I am going to be made bankrupt after I have actually abided by all conditions and maintained all payments, I really do not need this extra worry right now I thought I was out of debt, i really need some advice.

Thanks

Lyndsey

Hi Lyndsey and welcome to the forum.

It sounds to me as though they are just saying that it will take a further six months to sort out the paper work before you get your letter. I don't think that you will have to make any more payments.

Which company are you with? Speak to them and voice your concerns so you can concentrate on your impending new arrival.

Hope all goes well with that.
