The biggest source of depression for me in an IVA is my awful neighbours and knowing we are stuck in this house for another 5 years+ We live in a terraced house which we privately own with a mortgage sandwiched between 2 anti social neighbours, that carry on like we don't exist in the middle of them, last weekend one side had a 3 day weekend party with music blaring in to the early hours 4am every night, yesterday my husband went to the police, I was surprised at the positive response he got and we were told to call police when incidents occurred, so last night when a football match commenced in front of my house including the shouting and swearing that comes with it all under my tired crying babies bedroom I called the police and I couldn't believe they came and put a stop to it, is there hope that the next 5 years might be more bareable than I thought if something can be done and we can live in some peace! Has anyone had any experience of dealing with ASB neighbours?

I have had lots of dealings Sharon and believe it or not my neighbour is the church! I've been to court now and won my case, they have to inform me when a function is going to be held, they have to keep all doors and windows shut, there is a list of which we both agreed and both hold copies for.

I agree with perseverance you can stop unsociable behaviour. I hope your time there continues to be peaceful or as peaceful as can be.

I think with mine the alcohol licence was at risk unless we resolved so they had to meet me in the middle.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
