I have been patiently emailing GT for updates on the status of my closure since April 2013 (my final payment was in April 2012)... and was told that it had to go to MVM etc etc.

In June I was told that my case was at the MVM on the 24th May and was in the final stages and required a review my case would be closed four to six weeks of this meeting date, which meant that I should see it closed by end of June / beginning of July...

Middle of July I get told that my case is still with the closures team for the final administration and that my case would be closed no later than end of August but they have a high volume of cases (which I would agree with considering the amount of equally frustrated customers on this forum).

End of August... still nothing, so I again sent a polite email asking for an update, and pointedly remind them of the previous emails.

Beginning of September, I'm now not given a date for closure but my case is still with the closure team and going through the final stages (I wonder how many stages there are within the final stage???). However, a final review is still required(??!!) and my case should be closed in the coming weeks...

Should I be hopeful that I should see something this side of Christmas??

However, judging from some of these forum posts I'm looking at a particular battle as I'm looking to apply for a mortgage in the coming years but sounds like I won't get very far...

*sigh* - appreciate that there are a lot of you in the same position, but it's been a long 7 and a half years and I really want to move on...

Tell me about it! I have the same problem with PayPlan. I managed to call them today and spent 5 minutes on hold listening to "your call is important to us". In the end I had to hang up. It's time for another e-mail that will probably be unanswered.

I consider the amount of time many GT clients are waiting for their certificates too long...sometimes it's he who shouts loudest so do keep chipping away at them and loudly!

I also feel your pain here.

Agreement started August 2006 - Should have completed August 2011.

September 2013 and still none the wiser [V]

I have sent numerous emails, called over and over and have been sent the same answers.

6 - 8 weeks has come and gone - PPI monies were taken off me - More MVM meetings.

I have sent another email this morning asking for a fresh update without brush off and lies.

Received a financial statement in the post yesterday - HOW?!?

Lets see what happens this time shall we.

I am totally sick of it all now [xx(]
Fingers cross
