Ha ha! It's Jaegermiester ( think that's spelt right?) in a shot glass, then you put it in a tumbler and pour in red bull around the shot glass. Then you count to 3 and down it in one! After a few of these we got a bit noisy obv! I couldn't go to sleep! I was so tired but the red bull had me all wired up! Lets just say I won't be drinking them again!! (My brother is a barman in London - he always introduces me to the 'in' drinks!)

That sounds awful jojo! Can't stand Red Bull at the best of times, but I think that combination would make me throw up!

I'm going to try those tomorrow evening. Jaegermeister is one of our favourite tipples, and always comes out in some form of combination at our parties!!

Go for it Melanie! I warn you though - I was wide awake all night!! I love Jaegermeister, but the red bull, I won't be drinking that again!!Have a good party!
Just to add, I take everything back I said about bieng releived! The rent hasn't been paid cos no benefits were paid and my husband didn't get paid! I am now awaiting phone calls from letting agency wandering where the rent is?
Quick question - if a standing order is set up for the rent and can't be paid what will happen? Do banks charge for this?? God I hope not, but I bet that's wishful thinking!

The bank will be more likely not to pay the standing order - so I would have a word with your landlord if I were you to explain that the rent will be a few days late.

Hi Melanie - on my statement online it shows the rent as having been paid, but the balance shows it as not having been paid? I'm guessing that this means it does that automatically and when they notice it won't be paid? My landlord is a rather patronising letting agent and I really don't want to have to call him, but hey hoe, I'm getting used to this now!

HI!

Just wanted to add to this - it can take up to 4 working days from the time a payment leaves your bank account and reaches the recipients bank account. This is the same for standing orders, direct debits and cheques.

Hope that helps?

What a surprise! I have been charged £30 ' commission for unpaid item' because the standing order for the rent couldn't be paid! And still no sign of my hubbys wages! Oh well, I hope this isn't a sign of what the rest of 2009 will be like!

Jojo, I am sorry to hear that. I know that Nationwides problems were solved yesterday. Your husband needs to speak to his wages department tomorrow to see if they have sent the money in.

I think I'd go into the bank tomorrow and have it out with them as well.

Hi again! Bit more cheerful today. Got off phone with DFD after they eventually e-mailed me and found out payment break has been approved! Yay! So now I can miss Feb payment aswell without worrying! Hubby got his wages on the 2nd, but still no housing benefit! Called them and found out they were having problems with thier systrms and wouldn't be able to pay it til today, but it won't clear in my bank til Thur/Fri!! Unbelievable, but spoke to letting agent who spoke to landlord and he is fine, as long as he eventually gets the rent!! So things looking up a bit! Just need hubby to get a job!
Thaks to all who have given support btw - it really helps!xx
