If a solicitor is hired to sort out an estate and execute a will, do they automatically do a search of the insolvency and bankruptcy registers to see if any beneficiaries are on them.

I would assume it would be done but you would need to check with the solicitor. It is not difficult to do.

Yes, but if you are confident you can do probate youself. I did it and saved my relative a LOT of money. It is tricky but it can be done.

Yes they do and if like my solicitor when I went through this all beneficiaries had to sign to confirm not bankrupt or insolvent.
