Hi all,

Not good news my wife and I are going our own way. I know I must inform my IP. She has very little debt in our IVA. Is it worth asking for a meeting to reduce my payments as I will have to payout for a roof over my head? I have just completed my first year and is under review, but they are not aware of my circumstances as yet.

Is it worth my other half going BR??

We are very positive so that's good for know.[;)]

So sorry to hear that Mark. You are having a really rought year.

If you are going to separate the IVAs (I assume that they are interlocking), and your wife has no qualms about bankruptcy, then this is an option she should consider, and you could ask your IP to vary the terms of your arrangement to make lower payments to your creditors.

Markiboy, can't add anything to Mels post about your position, but just wanted to let you know that I am sorry to hear about you and your wife. It always seems that all bad things happen at once. I've been through divorce myself, but came out the other side and have been happier since.

Hope things pick up for you soon.

Thanks for that. I think of what's happening in this country this year, we all have to tighten our belts.

I wonder if the separation rate is increasing as this "credit crunch" continues to roll on. I know money is the source of many an arguement/heated debate in this house!!

Not that I intend to split from the wife......

coz she is the main earner and keeps us sort of afloat!!!
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.
Continuing to rebuild our credit worthiness.

Hey Mark, just read your post. Wanted to say I'm really sorry, what a rotten time you're having at the moment. As everyone else has said, I do hope the rest of the year is better for you. We're all here for you. Viki X
