After a really awful couple of weeks I heard today Tesco Car Warranty will pay for the new engine in my car. As I have only been a member since July I as so pleased and relieved.

Great news Jan. A weight off your mind.

Thanks everyone yes it is a great weight off my mind as I certainly do not have the money for a new engine. But I wasn't sure Tesco would have paid as I have only been a member for such a little time and only paid one installment! I won't have my car for another week but at least I know I won't have a big bill.

I always try to look for a positive in every situation and the mile walk to train station and back each day will mean that i will be getting some much needed exercise.

I'm glad you've got this sorted out Jan, it's one less thing for you to worry about.

I'm definitely going to take out the Tesco warranty next year - I've got 1 month left on the Ford warranty with my car, and then a 6 month warranty from the dealer until April, but after that it would be good to know I'm covered.
