Oh Skip

You have not calmed down yet, then?

If you write you have a record of this so that they may be more careful of doing it in the future.

I was disallowed housing and council tax benefit, I was entitled to it but they decieded my son was my partner and actually accused of benefit fraud, stated that the baliffs would come in re council tax and I was going to court to face eviction. At the time I was not coping too well. (My sons name is different as I went back to my maiden name). Of course the letter arrived on a saturday. I was very angry and teol them so, I also thought them incompetatnt, accusing and insinuating, they would have left me with no income, it was all based on their assumptions. I sent the letter RD and demanded a reply within 7 days. Two days latter two chaps turned up, we have come to sort you out, I think someone got hold of the wrong end of the stick Would you allow us to come in and do a fast track application?? The vry nest week I was sorted with everything I needed.

Before this I'd had numerous verbal and telephone conversations with them of what the situation was and full disclosure of my circumstances, I felt reassured every time, until the letter arrived.

If you have it in writing, you can quote it. Although they didnt dare write back and admit the errors. I knew they would have to sort it out. Furthermore, although I knew I wasnt doing anything wrong and was entitled to what I had claimed, I found it very unsettling until it was sorted.

Don't worry, I will follow everything up in writing! I have calmed down a lot, got a list of things to do ready, and found out all th info that I need.

The boxing gloves are needed more for the management agency that are supposed to look after the flats - yet another car has been dumped here with no tax!
