Today i have had a review meeting regarding my little boy's statement of special needs. As his teachers are so desperate to keep his hours the same, they had to list all his negatives. Although i already know his negatives it still broke my heart. I sat and cried in front of everybody at the meeting.

I am not feeling too good myself as anti depressants seem to have hit a stop sign and it just made me sit and wonder how he copes with all the confusing feelings he carries round every day of his life.

I'm usually really strong for my kids but some days are so much harder than others, trying to cope with the MS and juggling the little fella's needs.

Anyway, think a trip to the docs may be in order.

Sorry for moaning, i know im by far not the only one with problems but it just helps to spit them out once in a while.

Ahhh don't you dare feel that you need to apologise!

My sister has learning difficulties and has 4 children. Al 4 of them have there individual problems. One has cystic Fibrosis.

It is really difficult to get the so called 'professionals' to help or even listen. All they're interested in is saving money.

Try not to let it uin the rest of the day, I know it is easier said than done. Make that trip to the docs but definately don't let this all get on top of you! I've had a day of it also and I cried in from of some very high ranking police officers - felt an idiot but so what I'm human. Spending my life crying at the moment lol![:I]

Thinking of you XX

Oh Mrs skint.
Not very nice to have to listen to all the negatives, but I bet there are as many if not more positives too. Get all the help you can. Go to the doc, my sis has ms, and is always worse when you get down as well.
I hope you feel better soon. Try to get to a frugal friends meeting we will cheer you up.

Marie dont worry I bet they cry as well hon.
At least you are human.xx

Love Ang xx

Hey Ang you wouldn't think so the way they go on. I wouldn't mind what we were supposed to be discussing is a farce anyhow! All politics I'm a civilian worker not a politician... Thanks

Oh please don't just dwell on the negatives. As Ang says I bet there are lots more positives! Go to the docs and let it all out - I think its good to cry, I do enough of it anyway.

So sorry to hear about your little one Mrs Skint. I can't really offer any advice but I just wanted you to know that I'm thinking of you. I do hope that you are feeling a little better soon. Viki X

Turn each negative into a postive Mrs Skint, bless ya, it's hard to listen when they're talking about your own I know. I hope you're feeling a little better and I don't think you need apologise ever on here as I have learnt we're all here to support each other not only IVA related but for individual circumstance too.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Mrs Skint, I can't imagine how you manage....It's heartbreaking to hear someone telling you the negatives of your children...why can't they emphasise the positives, what your child is good at instead of what needs attention???
You're doing a marvellous job of it and don't let anyone take that sense of pride away from you. Give your little'un a big hug, it'll make you both feel better,
good luck at the doc's
xx
It's nice to be back......

I can't offer any advice Mrs Skint, but please look after yourself. My dad had MS and I can remember how much worse it was when he was stressed.

Take care x

Mrs Skint I don't know how you cope with all that stuff! I don't think I could be that strong.

My neighbours have a son who is severly autistic (I think he probably has other problems as well.) He is now 17 and will be finishing at his school soon. I don't know what they will do when he is at home full time. I do know they are paying off money to the LEA for specialist stuff they had in the past. It ought to be free!!!!!!

Mrs Skint,

I am sure you realise that they had to focus on the negatives to keep the statement, as it is so difficult to receive and keep a statement at school.

Try to turn it round that now he will be funded and receive all the help that he deserves.

Now it is over go back to school and ask for a progress report on your son and I am sure it will be the opposite of todays meeting and you will have plenty to be proud of.

All the best,

Kirsty

Thanks guys you really are a wonderful bunch.

I know all the negatives have to be addressed in order for him to get the help he so needs. He is Autistic. He loves me and hates me in the same breath but hes such a very special little guy and i sneek a hug whenever i can.

He is improving with his statement (he has 5 hours a day 1 to 1) Fingers crossed they keep it the same for the next 12 months.

I will deffinately take a trip to my gp for something to pick me up a little.

Thanks again all for listening to me feel sorry for myself.

I hope everything works out with your son, and that you get on ok at the doctors. You've got so much to deal with so make sure you get all the help and support you can x
