Hi j.hi and welcome to the forum

I think there is just a little misunderstanding here between you and your IP. Your IP is correct in saying that he/she cannot give you a definate figure, as the creditors are the only ones who can confirm an early settlement at a new creditors meeting, but the IP can give guidance. How much can you afford to offer, and where will the money be coming from? How much are your monthly contributions, and how many have you paid over so far?

hi j.hi welcome to the forum, i can't give you answers on your F+F but would like to say, sit down with hubby and talk try to work through the stress, i know its hard believe me i have been there, me and mine went BR and we are stronger now then ever, i know its a horrible unknown space to be in but there is more to life than debt and stress, don't cut yourselves up over something that hasn't been put to the creditors yet, hold firm and hang in there together.

Hi there
Good advice from Kerri. Now is when you need to stand strong together, and support each other. I remember the stress well but at the end of the day the most important thing is each other.

I agree with the points made above!

I hope this thought helps which some one advised us when we were struggling a few months back when everything was caving in!

You have a much better chance of getting through this together then if you go your seperate ways. Costs are a lot higher when you seperate and whilst together there are a lot more arguments that can be used to assist you with the dealing with your problem ie housing, etc!
