I told them I was BR and they were fine - unlike Lloyds TSB!

Good luck steve, go in person though, they tried me with a 'normal account' I said I didnt want this and promptly failed the credit score, then I was offered a cashminder account. I am very happy with it, online banking, visa electron and withdrawals from any link cssh point.

When the IP set up the DD mandate for me, it had the IP'S name as REFERENCE and his account number and that was it.I think it is silly if your IP made that IVA as reference for the payment...its all about confidentiality!!

I was told to set mine up as 'supervisor of iva' I didn't really want it to say that but I did as I was told! I even added my reference number to it!!
Has anyone had any problems with Barclays closing accounts? I don't really want to mess about changing again.

In my experience of being a member of this forum for 12 months, I have only seen First direct and HSBC, who are connected asking those in IVA's close accounts.

You should be fine with Barclays they are on the list of banks that offer services to undischarged BR's

I don't think that Northern Rock offer bank accounts - but I could be wrong.
