Hi
Been for my food shopping to asda today. I picked up the "asda christmas savings card" and I am very proud to say I have today put £2.00 on it !! I am so proud of myself !! £2.00 per week for 52 weeks is over £100 for my Christmas food next Christmas. But as the year goes on I am going to try and do a few weeks at say £4.00-£5.00 then I have lots next Christmas
53 down 7 to go !!
Cant wait till December 2012

I know I've got to think about it, but as I've only just taken the decorations down Christmas 2008 seems a long way away!

Does anyone know if Sainsburys do a card like the Asda one? I collect the stamps, but to be honest I would prefer to load money onto a card at the checkout.

Good luck with the saving Caraf!

I've got my cards for next Christmas, and we've got loads of wrapping paper left over as it was 3 for 2 with 20% off in Smiths at the beginning of December. No presents yet, although I did buy my mum's birthday present in the sales!

I've worked it out - the pop up blocker was causing the problem! I hate technology!

Hi Skippy
I think sains do a savings card, they certainly used to. I have bought all my cards for next year, and a couple of birthday presents ,though both are in september but 75% off saved a fortune.

I brought my Christmas cards for this year, had loads left over. I went to put them away and found last years cards I put away to use this year!!!!!
Oh well I have enough cards for the next 3 years as long as I remember to get them out!!

I have also brought a few presents for upcomming birthdays in the sales which has saved lots of money.

If only I had a good memory I would be dangerous[:D]

January 5th and I already have all but two xmas presents for my family for 2008 ! Sainsbury sale today was good - loads and loads of gifts and cheap wrapping paper - 30pm for four rolls of paper with gift tags, ribbon and bows included !
I love the sales that's where I do most of my shopping - they then go in boxes and I write a list of what I have and who it is for to ensure I don't double buy!

I bought £2 Morrisons stamps last week and will buy £2 more today when I visit. Hopefully towards a debt free and happy Xmas 2008.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
