Charlygirl - please don't worry about any of this. You have done nothing wrong and no-one is going to be cross with you. Both Tina and the guys at VB understand that clients try several routes for advice prior to making their minds up and this is something that we all actively encourage. Just be glad that you started the process off in the first plave, as we are glad that you found our firm - regardless of how you got to us!

Hi Charleygirl,
I was in a DMP with Payplan from 2007, but since then my disposable income dropped dramatically and a DMP is not suitable anymore. I'm currently in the IVA process with Mels team, and have phone call on Monday to go through my details. Quite nervous about it all to be honest.

I'm also nervous about having been in a DMP first Charleygirl, don't want creditors to look unfavourable on that.

Hi Union City Girl
I'm sure you'll be fine. Mel's team come highly recommended. It is a daunting process with so many what if's. wishing you, me and everyone else who are just starting on the iva road all the best. At least we have this forum to turn to for support and reassurance.
Keep us updated.

Update on mine - all docs are with Mel's team and awaiting proposal to to be drafted. Hopefully it will go smoothly.

Hi UnionCityGirl and Charlygirl! I was also on a DMP for 4 years and I just had my IVA accepted on friday. I`m with Mel`s team too. I dont think the creditors look unfavourable about you been in a DMP before,it means that we tried to pay back our debts before entering in to a much more formal solution. In my case a DMP was never a realistic option and I do regret that I had one for 4 years.
I cant praise Melanie and her team enough because they are absolutely fantastic, they realy care about their clients and in my case they had my IVA approved with a very low dividend. I`m sure you will be fine, both of you.I wish you both all the best.

lulu

Creditors will take no notice of the fact that you have previously been in a DMP. They will view each case individually on its own merits, and we will not put anything forward that we do not feel has a good change of being accepted.

Thank you for your kind words lulu123.
