Hi,
I've starting process with TC (mena) She seems very professional but with regards to the up front fees she tells me that there are non refundable, why is a worry if my IVA fails.........Can someone confirm TC policy and/or is there a better company to use?? Hi Esther and welcome to the forum. I went through Thomas Charles for my IVA and was told that the 2 months fees are fully refundable, plus an extra £500 if my IVA was not accepted. That was only in October last year so I would ask them to confirm, or maybe Oliver from TC who posts on here could help?

Aside from that, I found TC professional and efficient, so if the policy hasn't changed I would definitely stay with them.

Onwards and upwards!!!

I have just started an IVA with Thomas Charles. The two months fees are fully refundable if the IVA is turned down plus they will give you £250 NOT £500 as before. They have changed the amount for some reason. Hope this helps.

Same as Skippy.

Was advised 2 months refundable plus £500 refund if proposal rejected.

So far, apart from a slight hiccup ( which was more my doing than theirs ) both Thomas Charles and Accuma have been excellent. Honest knowledgeable and upfront.

Can I ask when you were told £500. I was told last week it had gone down to £250 so would like to have the correct information on this. Thank you

Started my process at the beginning of February Maizie.

I don't know but maybe the refund figure is dependent on the original IVA payment proposal.

Hello Maizie

Rest assured all Thomas Charles Fees are refundable if your IVA is not accepted. Thomas Charles would usually offer a promise of £250 (previously £500) compensation for client's whose IVAs are not accepted however, in very rare cases this promise may be withdrawn (at the very beginning of our discussions with a client) if there are creditors who are aggressively declining IVAs in particular circumstances with the Northern Rock Together Loan as an example of such a creditor.

The bottom line is that Thomas Charles will refund fees in all cases and offer the TC Price Promise except where this has been agreed to be excluded by the client and the Debt Adviser.

Hope this helps.

Best Regards
