Hi,
I went for a "power nap" at 6pm yesterday and I woke up at 6.15am!! When I have trouble sleeping I use Nytol - one a night. They're great pills and you don't feel groggy the next day.
I hope you all got to sleep and are retsed and refreshed today,
Hugs,
Chardonnay

I ususally have great trouble sleeping not last night though, all your fears have been shared by me and I'm sure most others. Unfortunately, nobody has the answer to them and things are thrown at us during the course of the IVA but we'll cope and get through it. I do hope you got some sleep at last xx
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Hi Tired of life

I used to have trouble sleeping, I still do sometimes. I dont usually switch off easily and find myself wondering, it really takes some effort to talk yourself into not worrying but you do anyway.

My advice to you is you must try to take one day at a time, none of us know whats around the corner that we are going to have to deal with, good things and bads things. However, worrying about mights, what ifs, people finding out etc, are always worse than actually facing it in reality.

Having a couple of debts doesnt change the person you are. Youre unique, special and loved for who you are not what you owe, or what you have. They arent going to say, not going to her/his funeral, she/he had debts..... No, please dont think like that. You need to remember that you faced up to a mistake thousands of people have made. Every problem has a solution and you will find a way with whatever life throws at you.

Try going for a run or a walk before bedtime and get some of this anxiety of out you and then use something like sleepeze for a few nights to get back into a more normal sleeping pattern.

Good luck and I hope you feel better soon
LILY

Myawwwwwwwning, well i've taken to using Melantonin, a hormone secreted by the pineal gland in the brain when it starts to get dark, and brings on the sleepy feeling. This hormone depletes as soon as it becomes light and that's what wakes you up in the morning. I pop one half hour before i want to go to bed and examine the insides of my eyelids, it works for me, wouldn't it's the deepest sleep, but it's a very relaxing comfy one. You cannot buy it in this country, but is available via the net. It's not expensive and pretty safe to use. I'm sorry you've had a rubbish night's sleep, i know you have worries but try not to let it get on top of you. Easier said than done i know. See these feelings as fighting ones, you are thinking things through preparing for the succesful road ahead

You can get it from this country via ebay.
They give it to children with ADHD. My oldest son used to take one and be flat out within 10 minutes.

Tiredoflife, I turned the computer off at 2.30am, I must have just missed you, I would have sat up and chatted! I don't sleep much at the moment either. Mind working overtime, no off switch! Hope you're feeling a bit more positive today. You'll eventually wear yourself out with all the worry and sleep like a baby![|)] I can answer two of your questions. No, the forum won't fold, and yes I really hope you do have the courage to come to a frugal friends meeting, would love to meet you.[:)] X

I used to lie awake 'til the wee hours then wake again before it got light....nothing helped apart from getting this terrible mess sorted....
There are a lot of remedies and advice but until that weight of debt is lifted, nothing really works.
Don't worry TOL, it will get better and you'll soon be sleeping like a baby...
It's nice to be back......

might have to try that! I get to sleep easy enough but then wake up and can't get back to sleep till about an hour before I need to get up. I then can't get out of bed!!
Nothing to do with stress though, just aching hands and anything else that feels like it!!

Its my Grandsons Birthday on Saturday, and being as its his 10th he's expecting a pressie. so I get to see him for the first time this year LOL. Still, I am looking forward to it. As for your worries ... I have the same ones but they don't seem to rear there ugly little heads in day light .. do they?

Here I am doing and saying the same things I did back then and now I'm labelled senile
