Our IVA was approved on 12th Aug but we are hassled daily with phone calls and letters from creditors as though the IVA doesnt exist. We got a letter through the door this week from a company called Aegis (Debt collectors) on behalf of MBNA who say they are sending someone to the house tomm to see us, we are worried sick!!!

You are protected by your IVA against your creditors, please try not to worry, it does take time for the information about the acceptance of the IVA to filter through, if it gets too much for you ask your IP to intervene maybe? It's been 6 weeks so refer them to the Insolvency Register and hang up, my hubby had to get nasty with Mercers and then they didn't ring again. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Yeah stand frim, tell them you are in an IVA and they should update their systems.

With the Debt Company if they come to the door either just don't asnwer or if you feel brave then again just tell them about the IVA (If the person has an IQ above that of a Carrot they should know about IVA's and what they mean!)
1st payment Oct 2008, last payment Dec 2013. Certificate received March 2015 due to PPI claim.

They can't touch you at all. If a debt collector does turn up, just show them your chairman's report.

Insist that someone on the other end of phone checks out the Insolvency Register. They will probably come back with rubbish about Data Protection but as you are giving them permission to check then that argument goes out of the window!

I'm afraid I would be being less than polite by now.

Get your IP to send this letter to the Insolvency Team at MBNA. I had a meeting with their Vice President and his team on Tuesday this week and they are very concerned to know about this sort of thing happening. If it helps, you could send it to me and I will send it on for you.
