sweetie if you keep worrying about the acceptance of the iva it will put you off applying
listen you'lle never going to know until the day of the creditors meeting whether or not it will be successful but i can definitely tell you if you get with a good company and they draw you up a proposal which seems reasonable and fair to both you and your creditors then you have every chance of it being accepted [:)]

Pride mainly. Although I know pride doesn't feed your family or help you sleep at night. We would lose our home, I have a young baby and don't want to keep moving her.
My paranoia gets the better of me sometimes. I over analyse everything. There are lots of people in debt, I know that, but checking the register for someone I know makes it a little more real to me. A little easier to deal with. Now I don't worry about the register. Does that sound strange?

Does your house have any equity in it? If not, then you probably wouldn't lose it. BR does not have the stigma it used to have, but you do need to take some professional advice.

heavy debt ask kal and the guys- i was the same as you last year-i kept thinking of it and was so worried-in the end the lovely guys helped me through it and eventually i called melanie.
you are not a faliure and by doing this you are not a faliure ok
youve got into a sticky mess-like nearly all of us and now youre being pro-active trying to sort the problem.
please phone someone monday-at least to make enquiries-the phonecall is the hardest bit-i know too well and the people there are non judgemental and will not tell you off-they listen to so many other cases.

Unless you are self employed you do not have to meet with your IP. I have never met mine.

The initial advice you get from any company will be free.
However, an IVA will always cost you, the fees are incorporated into your monthly payments and the creditors are quite happy for this to happen.

No company will do an IVA for free. You have to pay fees to the IP for the work they do in setting it up and for administering it for it's duration.

like kal says unless youre self employed its not necessary.
the reason you pay fees is because although it seems like a paper exercise the ip and their staff are doing a hell of a lot of work on your behalf-getting the proposal ready, contacting creditors etcand they have to pay themselves and their staff too. to me its a small price to pay for immense peace of mind.
seriously i would stop analysing and call monday. the longer you leave it the harder its going to be. please dont worry and make the call monday xx
