Stopped smoking

Day 6 today.

Did 1 day on a patch, then just refrained.

I will say this... its EASY to stop smoking when in male mode, but as Tina it is far more difficult. (Don't try to work that out!)

Anyway, day 6, and £72 in the 'saved dosh jar'

Massive saving Tina and that jar building up should keep you going for a while. I hope you contine to be smoke free, it's not easy I will admit, I did it 4 years ago, don't think I could have one now but if I get agitated or nervous I'll want one. All the best. x

A friend of mine visited a hypnotist at a cost of £110. She recouped the money within the 1st month of not smoking so I have been telling every smoker to visit this hypnotist.
3 months later the friend is smoking 20 a day and the hypnotist has a lovely new car....

I gave up the day my daughter was born,yes I know I should have given up the day I found out I was expecting but better late than never. I have been a failed smoker now for 31 years and am worse than a government health warning.

I did hypno therapy and it worked for a couple of years until stress got to me again!

I gave up in 1986 - cold turkey, couldn't be bothered to go out and buy anymore. Started again about three years later and smoked until 1996 when I went cold turkey again and haven't touched one since.

I hate the smell of cigarettes now.

Ive done the nhs smoking quit help 3 times since the IVA n still not managed - which Im very very ashamed to say.
Im not a 20 or a 10 ciggy person its less, my anxiety controls it n even with anxiety therapy I still cant get on top of it.
I hope to quite within the year again x

Well done! I really need to do this too. I stopped perfectly easily both times when pregnant but it's always just crept back again. I'm on about 10 a day.

I smoke rollies for about £10 a week *glam* so tell myself the cost isn't too bad and I'm saving money by eating less but I know that's really rubbish.

The only downside for me was putting on loads of weight. Thanfully that isn't a problem anymore.

I wouldn't go back to smoking though.

I was on between 30 and 40 a day. Thats two packs at £12 a day. £360 a month. £4320 a year.
I am putting the £12 a day in a bottle, and I intend to do this religeously, even if I'm 'skint', as I always found the money from somewhere when I was at it!

Day 7 today!! I'll tell you what though... it isnt easy.
