Im almost 4 years into my IVA and thought I would start to feel that the light was at the end of the tunnel except Sept 2009 I went back to uni to try and improve my career prospects. My IVA people were helpful and reduced payments and added another year on but now I am fast approaching a payment increase which has been scheduled from the start. The increase is double my payments which goes from £200 to £400. In the last year I have had to move house which has caused a rent increase from £300 p.m to £600p.m. With this increase looming Im already suffering sleepless nights, add to that an increase in work load at uni, working part time and being a single mum.. Im starting to think towards bankruptcy as my only option as I have another year left at uni after July.

Knock me down and I will get up stronger!!!

Hi Backwards and welcome to the forum.

So sorry you are having problems at this stage in your IVA. You need to speak to them and tell them of your problems. I take it that your rent increase has already been factored in?

It would be a shame to fail now so give them a call.

Hi, I agree with Jan, give the company a call and hopefully they can help you find a way forward.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
