Thanks, i am going to try and take some really deep breaths and get on with it. Or perhaps having a good cry might make me feel better. Get it out of my system. Have to make some really important decisions this week re the way foward, perhaps thats whats making me feel even more anxious. No more burying my head in the sand/duvet. I find when i go out i look at everyone adn wonder if they have the same problems as me, its almost become an addicition of mine.

And i think the discussions re the mortgage companies and calling in your loan if you take out an IVA just really unsettled me this week when i was trying to be strong and proactive. I know that this is something the experts will need to address, but it just really threw me that i could get my IVA approved and then it just all goes pear shaped in another way. Its the unknown and no one can say what is going to happen but the guilt on my shoulders at present is just unbearable. I feel like I am carrying the burden not just for me, but for my mum and my entire family. Its over whelming

Thanku. Have spoken to someone briefly. Went for a drive but didn't really help and difficult to concentrate. Don't think meds are helping, but may need to be on them longer. Just so difficult today. Can't seem to shake this black cloud off of me

Give the meds a chance to work and fingers crossed we can help you move forward with things.

Thank u. I hate feeling like this. The panic is just awful. It's like I have hit a massive brick wall today. I am being mindful not to post questions about the iva process, that's for me to speak to the team about. Just wanted to share how I am feeling and understand this is normal and I am not going mad or having some sort of breakdown. It's the losing control that terrifies me. Sorry guys. Know u have all been through this. Feels like a massive life changing experience which could go either way.

Hey Denise, keep your chin up. You keep posting as much as you need to. There is always somebody up at some time of the day. I do so many funny shift times im always checking the site even at 3am!!!

Being a bloke i really struggled at the begining with i guess not feeling in control, and not knowing what would the mortgage company say or what if the creditors said no, you do have loads of questions running around in your head sometimes but you are doing something about your situation and in the long run its going to be good for you.

Yes its difficult at times and maybe when you look around you might feel everybody else is coping and are not struggling with their debts, but i think there are so many people out there struggling and not doing anything about it.

Stay focused Denise and post on here any time you need to.

I agree with Baldy. Early on you might blame yourself for getting in "a mess" but the really positive thing is you`re doing something about it. Others who now look like they`re normal, spending loads on credit probably, gradually become people you actually pity, because somewhere down the line one or a few of them will be going through the same trauma.
You should be proud of taking every small step on your route to a better life.[:)]

Hi Denise! I saw an IVA as a way of gaining control over my finances and my future...I just needed help from a professional to get that control! It is a crazy emotional rollercoaster, especially in the early days, but it will be worth it. x
