please can anyone advise me about the iva consumer action organisation. I have been in contact with them and their and their way out seems too good to be true. I am at the moment struggling with my iva payments and it looks as if i may lose my job.
Any advice

Hi John and welcome to the forum

What "way out" have they offered you, and how much is it going to cost you to engage their services - as I assume that they have suggested bankruptcy proceedings to you?

Hi John

Is it assisted bankruptcy that they are offering as a 'way out'

By this I mean offering to help you through the process of bankruptcy for a large fee, something which you can do yourself online and just the court fee.
Lots on the forum have sorted their own bankruptcy and needed no outside assistance.

I am really sorry to hear that you are struggling with your iva payments and feel your job is not secure, but have you thought of letting your supervisor know you are struggling and seeing if they can help. I wouls always suggest this as a first point of call,

Good luck

It is paramount that you contact your Supervisor (IP) and explain your current predicament and see what if anything can be done. Payment holidays, reduced contributions, are just some of the ways that an IVA can be varied. However it depends on all your personal circumstances. So please discuss with him/her your position before considering what the so called IVA Consumer Group are proposing.
