Hi caraf - No news as yet, but hoping to have a response tomorrow, following the 'adjourned meeting'. It's been horrible having to wait, and I still can't be sure of an outcome either way... Creditors continue to pester, asking about the decision following the initial meeting last Thursday. Cheers, Mike.

Hi Mike74

Sounds like a bit of a roller coaster you are on at the moment with you having no control of it - have faith in your chosen IP as there is hope that they can canvas other yes votes for you and get the percentage over 75%.
Best of luck with things and keep posting to update us all of any progress

Hi Mike. Any progress? Also, forgot to mention that it took CS a further 8 days to get back to me with the much needed amendments- they said they has 14 days grace or something to get them in.So don't worry too much (I know I did as they advised me the alternative would realistically be bankcruptcy and that somehow seemed worse as I have a house with equity)Good Luck. cat 1

Cheers Guys! No news yet, but then it's still very early in the day... Thanks cat1 for your advice, at least I'll know not to hit the panic button until the 14 days grace is over, which funnily enough CS mentioned to me on Thursday!

I'm out all day today and will receive the answer whilst out on the road, so I won't be able to post the outcome (if there is one) until my return this evening... I'll be sure to let you know.

Hi Caraf. Mine wasn't rejected but my husband's was at first so CS said I shouldn't do IVA alone as this wouldn't help the family income??? ANYWAY, they immediately began to discuss bankcrupty options but I was crying so much by this point I could hardly listen to a word so the details remain quite scanty. Anyway, he rang back the next day and started to talk about offering 100p in the £ for some of the creditors ??? and started to juggle figures about and offers. Hence, my 6 year IVA. The origional amount suggested to be paid back was £600 monthly. And this is what we have started to pay (2nd payment Jan08)I know this is very early days but I already feel so much better. Calmer and in control.Empowered for the first time in years. I know your meeting isn't till the 27th but try not to let this spoil the xmas for you and the kids. CS sem to have a very good reputaion on here.I picked them by fluke and not judgement but i'm glad I did. I doubt they would go for IVA unless they were fairly sure it could happen.Cat 1

Hi all! Just returned from a long 300 mile round trip to Wales, very jaded, but have some great news - CS managed to swing the votes thus nullifying NR's rejection. There are clauses however, which include an additional contribution of £150 for myself & £155 for my wife, in addition 50% of any pay rise over and above the rate of inflation. One which I had not heard of before, should the equity in my house exceed £5K by month 54 of 60, I am to remortgage at 85% LTV and pay the nett amount (New mortgage sum less existing mortgage/unsecured loan) to the creditors... Still, I'm much happier with the outcome! Now need to remain focused and sensible and ensure I survive the term! Thanks everybody for your support! [:)]
