Hi Everyone
I just wanted to give an update on my story to give hope to those starting in an IVA or at some point in the process, feeling like it will never end.
My husband and I went into the IVA process in 2007 with Grant Thornton who at the time were fabulous and we completed our annual review, always on time by GT and who always kept us informed. In July 2011 we found out we were expecting (after five years and about to undergo fertility treatment) and I got in touch with this forum after sadly a not very positive response from GT who didn't return my phone calls. We had help from Karol who reads this forum who I have to say was fantastic and kept every promise she made and helped us resolve our IVA queries. As we were able to pay a substantial amount each month into our IVA we are now fortunate enough to be finishing in November this year, making reduced payments up until that point as I am now on maternity leave. We now have a beautiful baby girl who is 8 weeks old today and light at the end of the tunnel in terms of having use an IVA. So don't give up, you will get there! And if you are with GT, please use Karol she really is fantastic! Thanks for everyone's support on this forum, I didn't post much on here but when I did got a great response & I was a regular reader of this forum. xx
Looking to a debt free future!

What brilliant news to hear today, and great to see Karol getting some positive feedback for a change. She works tirelessly to help GT clients resolve their difficulties, and this is often at the very sharp end of complaints. Lovely to see how her good work is really helping some of the GT clients right now.

Good post Kruger - glad you have been sorted. Congratulations on the birth of your daughter - sounds as though she is of a similar age as our granddaughter.

Congratulations on the birth of your daughter, and what a lovely post to read. I am just literally in the first throes of the IVA process, having sent my paperwork off last week, so the next few weeks and maybe years (if all being well) seems daunting, although at this precise moment, my impending birth of my second child this week is somehow occupying my mind at the moment!

But it gives us all some inspiration to know that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Enjoy your maternity leave!
