Hi everyone,

This site has been a rock to me the last month. Its been reassuring to read everyone's experiences and its comforting to know you are not alone in this debt hell!

My creditors meeting is on Monday and I range from cock-eyed optimism because I heard yesterday that Morgan Stanley have voted in favour (1 our of 10 creditors) to deep desolation at the though of what happens next if it is rejected.

I got a letter today from a firm of solicitors on behalf of MBNA saying that they would be in direct contact with my ip and it was unlikely they would contact me again. Im hoping that this means that they have voted in favour as it was just a standard letter and im wondering whether im being optimistic!

Life is stressful but Im pleased to say that the phone calls have stopped (apart from Morgan yesterday but I didnt mind that one) so im hoping this also is a good sign.

I have the day off on Monday but have no idea what to do til 3.30 other than tear my hair out. I havent told my parents as I feel they would be so disappointed and Im ashamed of how I find myself in this mess. I have told my two closest friends and thats it. Im just extremely stressed incase its rejected and I face bankruptcy and working in finance I'd have to tell my boss and probably lose my job.

Pah also today I found out my landlord is putting the rent up by £25 per month so if my iva is accepted, life is going to be even harder.

As blackadder would say.."percy the devil, farts in my face once more"

Thanks for listening and sorry for rambling.

If you can prove your rent is increasing then there will possibly be room in your IVA agreement to increase your budget allocation for this as long as there is still a reasoanable dividend for your creditors.

Best of luck for Monday.

Hi Dawn
Best of luck for Monday - My mum used to have a saying which she used in difficult times such as when I was in labour! Just remember time cannot stand still!
Every Cloud has a silver lining. At the end of the Rainbow is a Pot of Gold - Or Hope!
