Hi,

Dont know if I have put this post in the correct forum, so i apologise I havent.

Some tax credits have been paid into my wifes old Barclays account, but I dont know if its still open, and I dont know if the money has been swallowed up. Money was paid in on the 8th November, and hasnt been returned to sender yet.

Bottom line is that the money has been paid into it incorrectly, and we want it paid into the correct account which is not Barclays.

Can anyone help with all of this, and do we have a leg to stand on?

Many thanks,

Can you get Barclays to transfer the money? If the account was closed, this would have been sent back to HMRC - so you really should try and find out what has happened to the funds. A quick call to Barclays tomorrow should do the trick.
