Hi all hope eveyone is ok,

Does anyone know how the OR views temporary allowances in BR?

I have been offered a promotion, however as the division does not have the budget for the post, it comes with a temporary allowance of £36 pw gross.

Hi Pippa

You are duty bound to disclose the increse in salary to the OR, who will then decide whether an increase in your IPA is necessary - or if an IPA ought to be commenced.

Well done on the promotion by the way. You deserve it!

Thanks Melanie

Please I dont want anyone to think I am trying to avoid an IPA! its just a lot on my mind about the house and thats the most important thing at the moment (my ability to pay my parents back on my discharge) plus I havent accepted yet, its a LOT more work and responsibility for very little money am just weighing everything up.
