My dad came round today and rescued a totally rubbish day! [:)]

Got up this morning and there was no water, apparently a main had burst locally - this didn't help me as I wanted my morning shower [:(]

As most of you know I am trying to finish decorating my hallway, so far this saga has been going on for about 18mths. I am on the home straight I am just putting the colour on the wall.

First I took the blown vinyl off and the plaster literally fell off the wall in a sheet. Then I was let down 4 times by plasters - apparently it is too hard to do as it is so high. eventually plaster number 5 turns up and does a reasonable job. My dad then took about 6 weeks to fit spindles and banister rails etc, he also promised to fit new skirting boards - this is where my problem lay.

The skirting boards needed fitting ASAP due to the rat problem we have just got over, as the rat guy said they would come into the house due to the skirting boards not being there.

I had just nearly finished one coat of paint and decided that the colour wasn't quite what it said on the tin - ready for crying and the phone rings. GREAT! Credtor - it had to be I hadn't had a call this weekend and they seem to knoW just when to ring! [:(]

Wrong, it was DADDY! [:D] WOOOO HOOOOOOO

I think he is fed up of my mum lol but hey ho round he came and fitted the skirting boards. I have just half done another coat of colour and it doesn't look too bad now but my day off tomorrow is going to be taken up with finishing the painting washing and ironing. [xx(]

I am soooooo lucky [;)]

I rang United Utilities and the recorded message said it would be sorted in the hour - thankfully it was - I was not a happy bunny not being able to get my shower [:(!]

My dad is quite good, when you can get him here lol! I sound really ungrateful he does a good job he is a perfectionist see [:)] I am just really frustrated it has been dragging on for ages.

Well I'm glad it's all sorted for you. I am really impatient so I know what you mean about having to wait!

Hubby has turfed me off computer so I'm in bed on my nephew's iPod touch, it's fab but takes ages to type anything so my posts are probably rubbish at the moment. I think my fingers are to fat for the keyboard!

Ok day today but I'm tired and freezing....gonna have a hottie tonight I think.

I have done 2 loads of washing, done the food shopping, cleaned kitchen and I am just having a cup of coffee before painting. [^]

Wel Viki just thought I would update you on progress!

I have just had a wasp incident and then locked myself out.........whilst 'casually' (running like mad woman) walking away from a wasp I went straight through front door and locked myself out[:I]

Oh Marie, I'm absolutely terrified of wasps![:0] They are evil and they have some sort of grudge against ME![:(] They must have got lost looking for me and found you instead! Sorry about that, I'm sure they will be back in Liverpool tormenting me tomorrow. I think I must have been a wasp in another life and did something REALLY bad to all the wasps....and they're getting me back for it![V]

I can't believe you did all that before 9.56am! What's up with you![:D]

Hope the rest of your day improved, I presume you got back in to the house.

Didn't get to the zoo as had to go to the accountants re:sale of restaurant, then got stuck in traffic on the Dock Road, took us one and a half hours to get back home(usually 15 minutes!)

Wasps are definately evil [}:)] I got back in by scaling the wall. The nosy neighbours and passers by had a good gawp anyhow!

I finished painting at 1615 - not impressed it was like painting the cistine chapel [:D]. You would think I lived in a huge house - it's not really it's an end terrace built in 1907 - a bit decieving though as it goes quite far back. Hopefully I'll get to keep hold of it [:(]

We really need a spell checker on this site - I'm rubbish! [:I]

Hey Marie, well done on your painting, I'm sure it's beautiful. I love Victoria Terraces, I had one but had to sell it last year because I couldn't afford it, it had a lovely piece of grass in the yard, a town garden I think it's called, really unusual for round here.

Just had to pick up some figures for the potential buyer but the agent's fax machine is broken so sorting it out tomorrow, hopefully will all be finalised this week....I like to work fast.....impatient! The quicker I sell, the quicker I can pay creditors, so worried at the moment, as we all are eh?

Unfortunately I had a really scruffy (and I mean really scruffy) pair of trainers on along with scruffy pants and top - I looked truly gorgeous! [:I] I would have rather had my heels on!

Yes, it will hopefully be a full and final from the proceeds of the sale, so the more I get, the more I offer, the more likely it will be accepted, I think.

No not nosey that's what it's all about a problem shared.

About the same 98K ish........not sure on the exact figure. This is 11 yrs of at first being naive and then trying to dig out of a black hole this just sent me deeper in! There are also other factors too - family, work, health etc.

I am hoping that hywel will have written the proposal this week at least, then I think it will be a trip to see Melanie in Cardiff - hopefully. It's a huge important part of my life and I want to make sure it is right - I have every faith in her though - this makes me nervous - the amount of faith as I am used to relying on just me!!

Your cat is lovely by the way.

I am ging skip off to bed as really tired from the days events but will be on tomorrow and will update you further and answer the rest of questions.
