Hi , finally received my certificate to say my IVA had been fully implemented last weekend . Been a long 6 years but thankfully it's over . Just want to say thanks to everybody on here , I've never posted but any time I've had a problem it has been answered on a post on here .
Made my final payment last June and it's been a very long 11 months , PPI held it up , new legislation passed last July meant they could go for commission on the PPI and this took till April (they recovered less than £20 ) . It's over now though and my IVA company were only doing their jobs so I've no axe to grind . For all it was only a matter of time before it was concluded and was repeatedly told there was nothing to worry about stress and anxiety don't work like that . So everyone going through this I feel your pain , it's worth it though . It's not fully over of course , 3 months before we come off the register and a chance to rebuild the credit rating , but I'll never get in debt again if I can manage it . Thanks again for being there , without even knowing you were , probably loads like me in that regard .
Hi Paul and welcome from the shadows Congratulations on finishing, just a bit of dust to settle now and 'normality' (whatever that actually is) beckons. Well done !
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
Yeah thanks everyone .
Who knows what normality is , to be honest it's still not quite sunk in yet . Weirdly though I checked my Experian and it said I had a fair credit score which is bizarre . Checked that Anthea Turner one and for all it said poor it was in the mid 500's , I thought it would be zero
Really pleased you have reached this stage in your debt free journey ...it won't be long before it all drops off your record. Well done and focus on the future now not the past.
