To Melanie and all at Jones Giles for giving me the chance of a fresh start, especially Tom for enduring my many phone calls and questions.
For the existence of this amazing forum and all you fellow forumistas, who`s advice and support gave me the knowledge and strength to start to find a way out of the mess I have created.
My creditors meeting was this morning at 10.30 a.m and my proposal was accepted, with a couple of very minor modifications, by 11.20 a.m.
I know I have a long way to go, but for the first time in years, I feel like I have a future to look forward to.

Congratulations.

You'll have some "challenging" moments in the next 5 years but good luck, there's at least light in the distance.

:)

I shall indeed continue to be a prolific poster on this forum, and thanks again Tina.
The feeling of relief is quite something, I can tell you...I shall be able to face each day now without that horrible `sick to the pit of my stomach with worry` feeling.
To anybody reading this thread who is feeling helpless and wondering what to do, ACT NOW!!! and get some professional help...I only wish I`d found this forum sooner.

Well done Goosed its a great feeling isn't it, and having dealt with the same IP as you, I can echo your sentiments on what a great team they all are.
Best of luck for the future, and maybe you should think about changing your name to un-goosed now?! [:D]

As 'animaleyes76' says, you'll have some challenging moments over the course of 5 years, but just think, you won't be scared to answer the phone, or open letters, and you won't be crossing your fingers when you go to the ATM hoping that one of your cards will give you some cash!

Good luck.

Congrats Goosed!! You must be so relieved. I am one of those people you describe as feeling helpless at the minute but I can't act just yet for various reasons. I find myself reading this forum and freaking out about every story I hear where creditors have rejected etc...I don't know whether I would be better off emotionally not coming on the forum until I am in a position to follow through with the IVA??

Thank you Nicola. Whatever you do, make sure you keep visiting the forum. ANY questions at all that you need answering, then just post them because I guarantee that someone will be able to help you whether it be a professional or someone else that`s been through the mill just like you and me...Whatever your reasons are for not being able to commence with your IVA proposal just now, I would still get all the advice and information you can, if there`s anything specific you`d like to ask regarding my experiences up to now, then feel free.
I`m actually in work tonight, I`ve tried to get some sleep but I just can`t...Somehow, I think I`ll be OK though.
