10 days after paying our full and final award sum we have today received our completion letter.

Excellent service - if anyone has been waiting months over the VAT aspect - our VAT would have been very small indeed so McCambridge Duffy decided to waive claiming the refund.

Nonetheless we have had a fantastic service over the last year from the company and special thanks to Mike Peoples who saved me from going completely mad over our debts.

I now feel we have a brand new start, no debts, I've got my ill health pension at 47 whick is allowing me to stay at home. We won't have much disposable income each month but have learned to budget over the year so I have no concerns about the future.

Anyone thinking of going down the IVA route should source as much information as possible and go for it if it is deemed to be the best solution. Stress of debt can put so much pressure on health, relationships and family life but any feeling of shame of having to enter into an agreement such as DMP, IVA or Bankruptcy is definitely outweighed by the relief of knowing that there is an end to life in debt.

Life would be 100% perfect today if I hadn't lost an orphaned lamb this morning! Tried everything to help it survive but nature can be very cruel. Still, have 8 others that seem to be thriving so all my efforts now go into those.

Delighted it is all over Karen and many thanks for your kind words. As I said before you have genuinely become an expert in the last 11 months and give excellent advice on a daily basis. It is great you will be staying on the Forum as yours is a true success story and gives hope for others in the same situation.

I am a city boy but married a farmer's daughter and they breed lambs. While like you I feel sorry for the 'pet' ones, country people are different and just let nature take its course. While it seems cruel to the like of me it really is nature's way.

What a brilliant post Karen. Like you (other than ill health) having recognised and dealt with my debt problem,I cannot believe how my life has changed in the last 2 years. I was able to retire and now sleep at night. I do have to budget carefully and only buy what I need and not what I want, but life is good xx

Congrats Kazza - well done on it all finally being over. I don;t think life can ever be 100% perfect by the sheer nature of life. Sorry to hear about the lamb, my cottage backs onto a field of them and it brings me such joy to see them at play. Hope the other 8 stay well. :-)

Great news about the end of your IVA - but very sad about the little one. That would have made me very upset, I could never be a farmer as all of my animals would end up being pets and I would end up with a zoo full!

Thanks Parjay. How you doing? When do you go to Disney?

Another lamb looks to be on the way out. If it's still ropey in the morning it's coming into the house to be syringe fed for a few days!

That is so sad to hear Kazza. If I were in your situation I would have them on the sofa with me. God bless and let's hope the little mite survives the night.
