Just wanted to pop on and say a big thank you to everyone for thier support and advice. Went to see two IP's yesterday and both advised bankruptcy due to husbands overwelming debts. The good news is (I always try to find a silver lining) that the first plus loan which has always been a millstone around our neck has actually helped. Because it is secured on the house we only have equity of about £1000 and both IP's said this meant that we would be able to buy our interest and not lose it. If worst come to worst we have a year to find somewhere to rent.
Feel strangley relived that we have actually got somewhere even though that somewhere isnt particularily where i wanted to be. Good luck to everyone who is going for an IVA or is in the middle and thanks again.

It's always a relief to find a solution ... Even though the solution might not always be what you thought it might be, if you see what I mean.

You're right T-bird every cloud has a silver lining and at least it looks as though you will be to keep your home. Good luck.

A relief to have somewhere to live, and funny how some debts can be helpful even though very much a burdon at the same time!!
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.
Continuing to rebuild our credit worthiness.
