Hi Guys. I've just completed my telephone proposal meeting with Melanie. I know those of you who know Melanie have said already, but she is SO lovely. Having gone through my proposal and finalised a very fair amount to live on, Melanie is to propose 25p in the £ to my creditors. Once I have signed and returned my proposal which I will receive early next week, my creditors meeting will be booked for the end of July.
It has been a real roller coaster ride for hubby and I. We have been battling with the guilt of letting everyone down, but quite rightly, Melanie said to put the past behind us, and look to the future. One of our creditors has hinted at a 6 yr IVA instead of 5, but that's ok, I somehow expected that.
We are so looking forward to the creditors meeting, in the hope that we have a positive outcome and can then move on with our lives. We are not proud of the situation we have created for ourselves, but we feel that we have been given a second chance which we should embrace with both arms and learn a huge lesson from.
If you are reading this as your are starting your journey, although the early stages are quite stressful and scary, when the ball starts rolling and you keep posting on the forum, the relief really is immense. The people here are your IVA family and go through all the emotions with you.
As far as Melanie and her team are concerned - I am so glad I chose to proceed with my IVA through them, they have been absolutely fantastic and completely non-judgemental.
Big thanks for Melanie G, Ang and Melanie N, you have all made me feel tons better. Fingers crossed for a successful creditors meeting. Will let you all know..... Kazzy x [;)]
