In my own experience, I find Northern Rock very supportive of IVA proposals, so I am not sure why you were ever told that an IVA would not work. Clearly the sooner you seek professional advice, the sooner these issues can be resolved.
I have not really ever had any problems with Northern Rock - so long as it is demonstrated that you are putting the right proposal forward, and this represents the best return for them, they ar likely to support.
good luck and welcome oliversbar, i so hope you get sorted and then you can get rid of this stress that you are currently experiencing. It would seem from what David has said that an IVA would possibly be the way forward for you, go ahead and ask the questions it might sort this thing out once and for all.
15 down, 45 to go
Om shanti, namesté, good luck to all who are embarking on the IVA journey, it isn't always an easy one but the outcome is the best.
IVA COMPLETED August 2012, received Completion certificate 18.4.13.
I have also had a recent case where NR rejected but have (yesterday) got them to reverse their decision and allow an IVA - seek professional advice asap.
