Hi Kyla,
They will be doing everything they can to get this sorted for you, dont worry that paper work will be through your door soon. It feels like it takes forever in the beginning & especially when you have creditors cold calling you.
The creditors will believe it when you say your are having your situation looked at by an IP, its just they want to get as much money from you before it comes in to place. I remember Alliance & Leicester, Halifax & Barclays driving me mad before they got the proposal.
Its just an idea but try & put some of the money that you are not paying to your creditors to one side, then you have alittle contingency/emergency fund for the start of your IVA journey.

its is blair endersby that i have been in contact with direct not baines and ernst, and i get straight through to my ip which im happy about, just been reading on here about HSBC not agreeing to iva's this is a concern cuz £10,000 of the £31,000 debt i have is to them!! i have a little pot that im saving in and any spare i have before my next pay day gets put in this so im leaving anything spare that anyone may want off me....im feeling really pleased with myself for buying things with cash instead of card [:)]

HSBC were fine with mine and they were one of my main creditors. I am sure you willbe ok with them.

Baines & Ernest are the sister DMP company to Blair Endersby whom often hand clients over to each other. So great your going through them directly, therefore Im sure it will all be in hand soon, firstly your proposal will come, when your happy with it n its sent back, you will be given a creditors meeting date, ten you will be off on your IVA journey to becoming debt free!
I would try not to worry about HSBC, this is the best solution for you & your creditors, BE would not put it forward other wise.
Get your contingency/emergency fund saved up - its one thing I did not get chance to do before my IVA & I know it would of come in handy later on if I had managed too.
And your on your way already! Cash is brilliant isnt it?!Its so much better than the plastic n dreaded bills falling through your letterbox. Dont forget Im with BE too, so if you need any help with future paper work, Im usually around the forum x

HSBC were my worst nightmare - they also tried to get me deeper in debt and actually advised that we took out a second mortgage to pay them off. We took out the mortgage - they didn't get any though!

Hi Kyla, Im pleased that the calls have eased off & they are listening to you.
Im sure your proposal its on its way & will be dropping through your letter box any day now. Once you have read, checked & understand your proposal, please shout up or ring them if you dont understand anything. Then when you are happy with it & signed it & sent it back to BE, they will then send your proposal out to your creditors & set up a creditors meeting.
They will inform you of your creditors meeting date & you will be asked if you want to attend in person (most don't & we didn't) & if not attending you will be asked to be at home by the phone on the day.
This is so they can let you know the outcome which Im sire will be fine. Hang on in there hun, your nearly there! Once my proposal was sent in its was only a couple of weeks before the meeting came round & we got accepted & begun our IVA journey.

I think you need to have a chat with your IP company but I can't see them being happy at you taking out further credit whilst going through the IVA process. I know you did the order before starting the process but it will make a difference to the balance going forward into the IVA.

Hi, why don't you give them ring just to see where they are with your proposal, just tell them your worrying about it.

Regarding the furniture, I'm going to keep this bumped up for one of the experts to answer as I'm not sure.
Has your catalogue account been debited already?
