I have around £46,000 pound of unsecured debt. The interest is killing me and I'm struggling to keep on top of this mountain of debt. Its making my life very miserable I'm struggling to see a way out. I've made mistakes in life, this doesn't make me a bad person. I've worked hard all my life but things haven't worked out for me. HELP!

Craig
Post more about your income and expenditure eg creditors and how much owed ,if you own your own property etc and I am sure one of the experts will be along to advise.
Most of us on here are or were in the same position nobody on here will judge you. We all have different reasons for our situations so hang in there there will be a solution.

All the best

Hi Craig, I'm not an expert, but I just wanted to say welcome to the forum, and to say you are not alone. For one reason or another most of us here are in the same situation as you, and as aguise says, no-one will judge you. We have all made mistakes, but we are not bad people - we have just learned the hard way!

Onwards and upwards!!!

Hi Craig

If you are not coping with the level of debt you are carrying then you need to seek professional advice. Most insolvency practitioners will offer this on a completely free of charge basis, and will explain all options available to you. Generally, just by sitting and working through a simple household budget with a client, I find that things can be worked out with just a little more thought and focus. More serious problems can be dealt with via formal debt management or insolvency solutions. The key is sharing your problems in the first place, with someone able to suggest a number of solutions.
