We have a creditors meeting next Monday 19th Feb.
Of course we are still worried after reading all the posts of IVA's which don't get through. We are offering 44p in £ to the following creditors
Mint £10000
RBS £8000
GE Capital £2000
Nationwide Trust £3600
Nationwide £18,000
Argos £2200

Do you have any experience of how these creditors vote our payment will be £450 a month.

Thanks Melanie

We will keep you posted thank you for your reply I will keep optimistic. All gone quiet for last 2 weeks from IP so I think they must be confident. I think we should ring her on Friday to see what time she may contact us on Monday. Try to be optimistic but so much has gone wrong in our lifes and we are good loving people that sometimes we err on the side of pessimism because life always seems to be against us.
Trying not to think about it till after Monday.

Good luck Jannette! I'm in the initial stages of my IVA and people on here are extremely informative and supportive. Let us know how you get on.

Hi Jannette92,

In my experience I have not come across problems with the creditors you listed above.

Try and remind yourself that you have actually taken action to get your debt situation in order, that is a big step!

All positive thoughts your way for Monday.

Hope this information is of use

Hi Janette

Good luck for your creditors meeting, hopefully you can put all this behind you soon and start your new life. You have done all you can now and the worst is probably over. Think of them as black days in a new life

Just to keep this thread informed. The IVA was approved today. Don't know the voting outcomes as yet apart from the fact that Nationwide voted which was probably our biggest creditor.
When I get the paperwork through from the IP I will let you know the total voting. I do know that no-one voted against it.

Considering our 1st enquiry for an IVA was on 20th Dec I think this complanby has been excellent in getting it through in 8 weeks.

We are delighted and wish every one here the same luck

Jan x

I am so impressed. As I said previously our IVA was approved yesterday at 10.00am. I got home today and we have received the chairman's report !!! Excellent service from our IP !
All voted in favour apart from Argos who didn't vote. Their debt was £2k
Our creditors are:
Nationwide
RBS
Mint
GE Money & GE Capital who used a company called Max Recovery Ltd;
The value of these creditors came to £41K

I haven't heard of our IP's company before "Simple Debt Solutions" I am wondering if they are a fairly new company and haven't many cases on their books which enables to move in such a swift way. But I will certainly be recommending their professionalism and swiftness of service.
