Good luck for the 8th!

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.

Hi Torch,

I had Lloyds, M&S and Mint and they all voted yes to my proposal. No experience of the others.

Hope everything goes okay. Let us know.

All the very best for the 8th. LLoyds were our biggest creditor and didnt bother to vote. Let us know how you get on.

Hi, haven't spoken for a while but have been looking at the site all the same! Lloyds TSB (credit card) were one of my creditors, they did not vote at my meeting and they have not been off my back. They ring every week and I tell them I am in an IVA they do not take any notice, they have written me letters which I have responded to, I even sent them a copy of my "bit" in the Insolvency Register. They keep saying they do not have any details regarding my IVA!! Then on Monday I received a letter from a firm of solicitors which I replied to and contacted my IP who said they would contact them but I am worried about it all the same.

It just goes to show, they either decide they want to help you or not, obviously not in my case.

Love XX

thanks to all those who replied, for your comments and good wishes.
right, next question.
does anyone out there in iva, get an allowance for the aa/rac.
we currently get aa for free with our platinum account at lloyds tsb, which will dissappear if iva goes through.
there is an allowance of £30 per month built into our current expenditure sheet for car servicing, which i don't think is quite enough.

as far as i am aware and don't quote me on this these things are classed as luxuries under an iva unless you can hide it somewhere else in other payments, in my iva modifications i was not allowed life insurance as this was classed as a luxury although a stipulation of the mortgage, so thats where i am coming from torch, all the best.

Make sure that your IP deals with this,it should not be for you to do.Send all communication to you IP and keep chasing them until the letters and calls stop.

thanks all.
have just been on green flag website.
seems reasonable, should be able to 'hide' the payments within my car servicing allowance.

I had my creditors meeting yesterday and my IVA was exepted, I get paid on the 15th of every month and was told the first payment would be the day of the creditors meeting, but on the letter they sent me there was a number to ring if i was unable to pay it on that day and i rang up and said it would leave me with nothing for the rest of the month as my car needed taxing and i had paid my dad back £200.00 what he loaned me to pay my overdraft off (so i wouldnt have to change banks) and they said that's fine the first payment will be 15th of next month, I think if you have a reason why you cant pay it this month then they might let you start paying next month!!
Three cheers for IVA's
Wish I had done it sooner
23months to go

Saz makes a good point in that as long as you make your first payment no later than one month from acceptance then all is ok because when the annual review is completed by your IP thet will have received 12 payments.Payment dates can make a big difference to you,so if you need to ask your IP to change yours.

Before I went into the iva i was paying £10.99 a month mobile phone insurance and about £20.00ish AA cover, I now have a select account with TSB for £7.99 a month which covers both and other things like commisson free travellers cheques, if you are with TSB I think it's a good deal at the side of what i was paying!!

On the road to recovery IVA accepted
60months to go
