I'm with jan & harpic on this one, I usually demand someone invent & build a teleport machine when the the footballs on so I can teleport to Jans!

I still can't forget billy Connolly sketch of the gymnastics when ever I hear them ranting on about the olympics on the Telly!

I mentioned getting tickets to Dave again this evening and all he said was 'it'll be on TV'! I don't think I'll be going somehow!

If the daughter and son in law want to watch then they have their own TV to do it on - he is banished to the bedroom to watch the football as well!!

Lyns - you are welcome here anytime - especially if you can teleport!!!

[:)] I bety you enjoyed that Quark.

We're really getting into the spirit of it - can't wait to clap and cheer the runner on and have our own mini Olympic Games with the children afterwards.

I can appreciate some people don't share our enthusiasm, but with so much bad news in the world, it's nice to have something to cheer on.

Well we cheered on the Olympic Torch and had a fab time! The weather is gorgeous and we had a 2 minute walk to the end of the street to join the crowds and I have to say our village went all out - blinking fantastic and a right old carnival atmosphere. In the midst of it all, there was a wedding in the local church and the Bride's car followed the parade - what a brilliant reception she had from the crowds!

I hope anyone who gets a chance to enjoy this does so - so nice to be part of a reason to smile and a day to remember for the children.
