I had one of these too, the lady called round once a month and I would write cheques, she was always very friendly, when I couldnt pay that changed though. I have since paid them off and this morning I recieved a letter offer of a cash loan up to 1000 pounds. I am not in the slightest bit tempted, I was desperate at the time as I had damaged my car and needed it fixed for work, (an essential car user). never ever again.

I remember them coming around when the kids were due to go back to school, handy for their uniforms, too handy!!!

I guess I must have paid back quite a lot of interest on the stuff I used my credit card for when you consider that the interest is charged every month on the balance and I didnt often pay back the whole balance, at least the cash loan did have an end point.

I have learned my lesson, I always think now, do I actually need that??? It wasnt until I won the M and S vouchers that I owned a pair of jeans that were my size.

Since January I'd had two offers of loans firstly from my current bank and the other from one of my creditors saying that since I had successfully completed my loan would I like another!!!

What a laugh - felt like writing to them - saying didn't actually complete the loan!!!

My bank offered me a loan with reduced payments when I was in it up to my neck already. Eeerm I tried to point out the fact that I didnt see the virtue in trying to solve a debt problem with more debt but all they kept saying was they needed to secure a way of getting their money back. Stones?? Blood???
