This is my first posting on the site, I have just had a chat with a really helpful and kind lady regarding getting an IVA off the ground, took some courage to take the first steps but I feel positive that I can take some serious action and get my life back, really helps having this forum here, has given me lots of motivation to do something about it.Thanks! Hope to make more postings as things progress............

I think most of us have buried our heads in the sand at some time and as you say the relief at knowing you are trying to sort it out is immense.
Read the posts and get as much info as you can.

Madcat
A warm welcome.
On this site you will talk with people who are ,or who have been, in the same boat as you.
Please post your experiences and questions as your IVA progresses and maybe, if you feel happy to,start a blog of your jorney down the IVA path.

Hi Madcat, and welcome!

I'm only 4 months into my IVA journey, however, I can assure you that the support from everyone, including their honesty is refreshing and welcome.

Participation is the key...

thanks for your kind words everyone, I will keep posting and let you know how I am getting on. This is a big turning point for me, all these crippling debts came as a result of a marriage and its breakdown, ended up selling my house, fell into depression but through all that, now renting but can see some light at the end of the tunnel, thanks again all.....

Hi madcat, welcome to the forum. You have admitted you need help with your debts and that is always the hard part - I know as I buried my head for years! If you have any questions please post as there is always someone who knows the answer. Good luck x

Hi Madcat and Welcome!

I’m sure you will find this forum helpful. I was reading some statistics online last week which noted that in the UK 300 people are declared insolvent or bankrupt per day.

You are definitely not alone on this journey.

Hope this information is of use
