i bought "the secret" ages ago...about a year or so before entering into IVA...it doesnt work.!!!LOL...hence IVA

if life were so easy that if you "think about something long enough and positively enough and constantly tell yourself that happiness is in your grasp etc etc"...then this forum wouldnt exist...nor would there be any divorce...crime...tragedy etc etc etc....

having said that....it did lift me for a while as any it did direct my thoughts into a more positive mode for a few days...but then chocolate or a glass of wine can do the same.....
IVA completed 11th Dec 2009 due to a Full and Final with the fantastic help of Michael Peoples and
Mc Cambridge Duffy

It's main message is about the law of attraction, if you think about debt, you attract even more of it. Even by saying I will get out of debt, the problem is you will still attract debt as 'The Secret' does not understand the 'get out of debt' bit and thinks you want more debt. That was the message I got from listening to it.

I'm always having very positive thoughts about winning the lottery, but it's not happened yet!

Think I'll be giving 'The Secret' a miss!

Don't blame you at all, I've stopped doing the weekly lottery since I started the IVA, I only have a lucky dip occasionally when I feel lucky. But then I cannot even get 3 numbers now.

As for the secret well that failed to deliver a big lottery win for me too!!

My boss bought me The Secret's daily calendar for Christmas and a friend bought me Angel Cards. I read these every day and strangely enough the two messages are always complimentary to each other. Although I take it all with a pinch of salt I have to say that on the day I don't read them I feel down and wonder if it is all worth it but on the other days they uplift me enough to get through the day - mostly with a bit of a smile. Positive thinking! I just want to believe it has to work sometime..... sooner rather than later would be appreciated! :)

Well, I'm not sure about this Secret thing but, SharonOR, I am sending you positive thoughts. I've just read your post on the Asda thread and I'm disgusted! Hope you sort this out and start to have a decent life soon. You deserve it. X

Thanks Viki - The Secret explains with simplicity the law that is governing all lives, and offers the knowledge of how to create - intentionally and effortlessly - a joyful life. This is the secret to everything - the secret to unlimited happiness, love, health and prosperity.

This is the secret to life.

It says that the life you're living now is what you have created in your past by negative thinking. To change it you have to change your way of thinking and living and in a way I really believe that.

By looking out for everyone else and never thinking of me I have got myself into this pickle[V]. The only life I can change and manage really is my own. It is difficult but I do try hard and things do happen. Like picking up £5 in change[:D], when getting off the tube today which someone was dropping as he was walking. Never foudn the person but picked up all the money. Can buy milk and bread tonight.

Thanks to the Universe[8D].

Wow hammer, I didn't watch it all, cause I'm too impatient, but the beginning was like a trailer for a film. I get it, if you think it you will attract it, or something like that. I'll have to be more positive then.[:o)] X
