Optimist. Don't go!

All forums must have their balance, my own comments on your postings were initiated on an 'off day'.. I know you are just a single person going through your IVA, a lot of others have families, and trying to manage on a pittance for more than one, is hard (believe me). I feel humiliated for my wife to be in our situation, and my picky postings were really no reflection on your own 'optimistic' postings. just a sour old sod still coming to terms with 'the mighty have fallen' - So carry on being an 'Optimist'..
I am certain many others here have success stories and are grateful for another chance, so keep posting

Optimist

I second all the comments made and after all you have tried to assist people which is what this forum does. I like to think that opinions whether we agree or not should be valued and discussed. It does appear that someone has come on here who we don't see much of anyway and creates chaos which is a bit unfair even though they may have a point!

Thanks for your message Andy and thanks to everyone for all the above posts!!!!

I have decided to take a break from the Forum as I have been spending far too much time lately thinking about IVAs!!!!!
I am absolutely sure that something will happen over the next few weeks that I cant resist commenting on and I will pop up again!!!!!

Having just finished my first year in an IVA I am going to take some time to reassess things and make sure that I try and carefully plan out the remaining 4 years. I think years 2 - 4 will be the toughest - Year 1 gives that wonderful "relief" from stress and Year 5 (I hope!!!) I will spend counting down the days!!!!I think the middle years will be the toughest.

I must apologise to NEDCAB for hi-jacking their thread - it was not this or any other thread that made me decide to take a break!!!!! The timing was completely coincidental.

Good Luck to everyone - and I will definitely be posting again after a short break!!!!

Thank you for the advice OPTIMIST12, hopefully we will be hearing from you soon.
"Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don’t and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said that it’d be easy, they just promised it would be worth it."

I do hope you will continue to post optimist. I wish you all the best, and understand it can take over a bit. I appear to be here a lot, but I nip on and off and do spend a lot of hours on my own with hubby working a lot, and if not he is sleeping.
I am sure your iva will continue well.

Speak soon.

I too had a bit of a break last year from the Forum after my IVA was agreed. I think that there is some element of it all becoming a bit obsessive. What happened in my case is that I came back to the Forum from a different perspective and it has been really rewarding this second time around to be sort of settled (long story) with my finances now and able to help people from a more objective perspective in their own journeys ... so hopefully, Optimist, we will see you back soon, with some great new news, making your ever valuable contributions to the discusions here [:)]

All the best

Debbie

Ray_A "It does appear that someone has come on here who we don't see much of anyway and creates chaos which is a bit unfair even though they may have a point!"

Hope that's not me Ray? You basically don't see much of me as I'm not in an IVA, but a Scottish Trust Deed and although it's similiar, there aint much I CAN post about, but hoped that what I had posted, was helpful.. Of course I might have got this totally wrong..

Hi
I can't see much wrong with this thread,it's conducted in good faith and all posters have a point and are welcome.Bigpete,Rays comments are not aimed at you and I'm not sure chaos is the right word to use.
Anyway Optomist will bounce back in the near future so no harm done
We'll call it a day on this thread now
Thanks
Andam Davies
