been in iva for 2 yr i work 10 mile from home my car is old keeps breakin i asked my iva company can i get a cheap car on hp for work they said no what can i do ?

I suggest you ask them how they think you will be able to afford to replace the car so that you can get to work and therefore earn the money to fund your IVA. Simply saying no is not helfpul. Which firm are you with?

hi melanie thanks for reply, im with ideal debt solutions the women on the phone told me its obtaining credit which i cant do,she said could i borrow of mum and dad but they old dont work so not a option, its wasnt my ip i spoke to but a women on the phone should i try writing to them ?

That is a poor solution - you can have credit at any time during an IVA so long as it is with the Supervisor's permission. I suggest you tell them you want to speak to the IP in future and not the paid assistant.

How much is your current DI? As a possible alternative you could look at a payment break and reallocate the money to a new "used" car?!!
