Has anyone else had problems with Think, I have had three card transactions duplicated because they went through as the 1/1/01 and 3/1/09 they say its Natwest as the processed them, and Newcastle BS as they are the card issuer, they are also saying that im not the only one affected and I have to be patient, I asked how long it would take to get my money back and they said how long is a piece of string, its been 6 days and no sight of my £100 back,

So has anyone else had this problem and what should I do, ive asked to speak to compliance to complain and they wouldnt let me, what should I do. They are the only bank that will accept me as im going bankrupt in a months time.

Thanks

I think I am right in saying that if the bank get it wrong they should put it right immediately - I would speak with the managers and then insist they put it right immedidately!

You could try complaining to the Financial Services Ombudsman - http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/.

You say that Think Banking are the only bank who will accept you - have you tried Co-op or Barclays? There is also One Banking who are similar to Think. The other option is a pre paid card that allows you to pay bills, have direct debits etc. I would only suggest this as a last resort as most of them have high monthly fees, and charge you to take your money from a cashpoint.

Hi Skippy,
Coop declined me as i have debts with them, I rang Barclays and was told to apply by post and in branch but as im going bankrupt they wont give me a debit card or internet banking, I asked about the 9k I owed to barclaycard and they said it wont be a problem however not sure how safe this is

It is but it does have a monthly charge to cover all transactions (other than cash withdrawals) where a fee of £0.50 is made irrespective of amount withdrawn.
