It's good that you have acted quickly, the sooner you take back control of your life the better. I left it way too long. Let us all know how you get on. Viki X

Just worried that I won't ever get a mortgage, but then again in today's climate they may not be a bad thing

Get all your debt problems sorted and then you can think about that. There are experts that post on here that deal with mortgages but one step at a time eh? X

I agree, dont beat yourself up about what might be or might have been, you need to tackle this beast first. I dont have a house but I dont feel like I am missing anything. My home is where my kids are, where people love and respect me, and I them, you cant buy that.

Am going through figure's tomorrow, had a call and sorting things tomorrow, and see where I go from there, either IVA or Bankruptcy.

Chat tomorrow, and thank you all once again

Hiya all, just to let you know that I've had a really great chat tonight with one of Melanie's colleague's, and for me IVA is not really an option.

Bankruptcy is the way forward.

I know and wish that I had sorted my finance's earlier but you think they will just go away, but for methey didn't.

I appreciate everyone who helped me within this thread, and who know's what tomorrow brings.

My lottery number's may come in, ok maybe not haha.

Thank you once again.

Wisey

I spoke to Tina this evening and understand why the IVA was not an option for you. Bankruptcy is not all that bad, and I think in a couple of months time you will have put this all behind you - hopefully with no Income Payments Agreement or Order.

Hi wisey999

I wa in your position a few months ago. After contacting Melanies team I too found that Bankruptcy was the best route for me. I went bankrupt on monday this week. It really isn't as bad as you first think which is just what the other forum members told me when I was considering going down this road.

Keep posting and ask as many questions as you need, this forum is a lifeline and everyone on it a source of inspiration and support.

Good luck
Dee
